On this web site I intend to provide two kinds of products. One, the DIY stuff, is completely free! That includes not only the information such BOMs, schematics and instructional information, but if microcontrollers are involved, the firmware as well. I'll provide the firmware as a loadable binary and the source in what ever format I developed it.

The other stuff I need to make some money on. (We gotta eat after all!.) This stuff will be either kits for the DIYer, or fully assembled hardware that is useful to the non-hobbyist also.

This site:
Since this is a new site, expect there to be both structural and content changes as I get it going.

Firmware:
Almost all of the microprocessor work I do is with Microchip PIC controllers. As such, my primary developlent system is with the MPLAB IDE. I like the challange and flexability of assembly coding, so I use that mostly. However, some applications are coded in C. For these I use the HiTech C Pro for 12-16b controllers integrated into MPLAB.

I try to work with as many free tools as possible. This sometimes limits the choice of supported devices. But there are several other C environments available, and some code adjustment may be needed to use these.

Hollywood Controls, Inc. is a manufacturer of electro-pneumatic devices and controls that I operate to supply Haunted Houses and Corn Maze operators with quality props. This site is a subsidiary effort to make available some of my interests outside that business.
